I am a 23-year-old girl who is born and raised in Skovgaardsparken in Aarhus. Since I was very young, I have had a passion for fighting against prejudices and discrimination you can face as a woman in sport and as a minority. It has not been easy to grow up in an environment where my sport was taboo among Muslim girls, nor has it been easy at the time to be one of the only girls with a headscarf who played football. But my experiences have shaped me as the human being I am today, I want to share my experiences and knowledge about this topic to the world, and I want to make sure that no kid in the future goes through the same things as I did.
